On August 10, 2021 a lecture was organized on the topic "75 years of Indian Independence and India's Achievements Post Independence" as part of the yearlong celebrations for the 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence Day (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav).The lecture was delivered by eminent speaker, Shri Chiranjiv Singh, Retired Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. of Karnataka. Shri Chiranjiv Singh presented a comprehensive overview of the several challenges faced by India immediately after independence in the areas of agriculture, education, healthcare, manufacturing, defence, R&D, etc. His lecture also highlighted India's journey and modality of successfully converting these challenges into opportunities and embarked on a journey of phenomenal growth.

The lecture was organized in Satish Dhawan Auditorium at URSC with compliance to all the COVID-19 preventive protocols. The lecture was also broadcasted live to enable participation of and URSC employees. The lecture had installed a great sense of pride and patriotismand was well received by the audience.
