AstroSat, India's first multi-wavelength space observatory, completes a decade of successful operations in 2025. To celebrate this milestone, U. R. Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), is organising an international conference in Bengaluru, bringing together researchers from India and across the globe to discuss scientific outcomes, highlight key discoveries, address technological challenges, and explore future directions.
AstroSat has enabled scientists from around the globe to explore exotic celestial objects such as white dwarfs, neutron stars, black holes, active galactic nuclei, gamma-ray bursts, star clusters and galaxies. These observations have led to ground breaking discoveries, shedding light on some of the most enigmatic and extreme environments in the universe. Through these ten years of operation in orbit, AstroSat has been consistently delivering high quality data from its onboard instruments.
All users of AstroSat data are invited to Bengaluru, India, for this exciting scientific gathering.
